Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday - Split

Transfer from Split airport to Split harbour for check in from 14.00h onwards.

After settling in, enjoy the guided tour of Split, a historic town under UNESCO world heritage protection with an abundance of Roman architecture – of special interest is the magnificent Diocletian Palace, once home of the Roman Emperor. After the tour, return to the ship for a welcome ‘meet & greet’ cocktail reception and dinner on board. Over night in Split.

Day 2 - Sunday - Split to Hvar (Bol)

After breakfast we depart for the charming island of Brač. A swim stop is planned at the famous Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape) beach near Bol. The quaint fisherman’s village of Bol has become a popular tourist destination and offers an authentic Dalmatian welcome to all visitors. After lunch on board at the Pakleni Islands we continue cruising towards the jet-set island of Hvar. This is the longest and sunniest island in the Adriatic Sea and is renowned for its stunning and fragrant fields of lavender. The afternoon arrival is followed by a short presentation of lavender products and a tour of the town’s most popular landmarks. You can visit the Renaissance cathedral with its original tower, and the oldest community theatre in Europe, which was founded in 1612. The town fort, situated at the top on a hill, overlooks the harbour and offers stunning scenic views of the Pakleni islands.

We will over night in Hvar, here you’ll have the opportunity to dine out in one of the many lively restaurants, bars or cafes which stay open long into the night.  Breakfast and lunch are on board.

Day 3 - Monday - Hvar to Biševo (Blue Cave)

Early morning we cruise towards the beautiful island of Biševo, to visit the magnificent Blue Cave.  The visit to the cave depends on weather conditions. However, you will be notified of this on time.  The cruise then continues to the island of Vis, which was once a strategic Yugoslav naval base. Due to the island’s seclusion and isolation, Vis has a unique charm that typifies ‘the Mediterranean as it once was’.   A visit to Vis would not be complete without sampling some of the exquisite local wines from the traditional wineries. You will also have the opportunity to visit the city museum or enjoy a leisurely stroll whilst admiring the views of the beautiful Villae Rusticae, situated along the waterfront. We overnight in Vis so there is another opportunity to dine out.

Breakfast and lunch are on board

Day 4 - Tuesday - Vis to Korčula

Today on our Croatian cruise we departure early and head towards the island of Korčula, best known as the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo.  Lunch is served on board as we anchor in a secluded bay with time to relax and admire the stunning scenery.  It’s an afternoon arrival in Korčula for a walking tour of this charming Old Town with our English speaking guided.  Korčula has many of good restaurants where you can enjoy an authentic Dalmatian gourmet dining experience, as well as many lively bars and clubs.

There is an optional excursion and experience a typical ‘Dalmatian Dinner’ and discover Croatian history and traditional way of life. Overnight in Korčula.

Breakfast and lunch are on-board

Day 5 - Wednesday - Korčula to Mljet

This morning we continue further south to the Island of Mljet.  Legend says that the Greek god Odysseus spent years on this island when he was captured by the nymph Calypso.

You can join the cruise manager for a walk to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park.  Take a boat trip to the isle of St. Mary and visit the ancient Benedictine monastery, an abbey and church dating back to the 12th Century.  Or, you can rent kayaks, bicycles, scooters or convertible cars to roam around the National Park or island on your own, but beware of the nymphs!

Today we enjoy the peace and tranquility of the island. Dinner is on board and we overnight in port Polača/Pomena.

Day 6 - Thursday - Mljet to Slano (Ston)

The enchanting village of Slano is our destination today.  Situated on the mainland it is a peaceful fishermen’s village which was once fortified and famed for its oysters.  After exploring the town’s vast medieval ramparts it’s a short coastal walk to the oyster farm to learn more about oysters and a tasting of this delicacy.

Transfer to the ship to get ready for the ‘Captain’s Farewell Dinner’ with live entertainment.

Day 7 - Friday - Slono to Dubrovnik

It’s our last day and it’s an early morning departure for Dubrovnik – a unique town on the Adriatic.

The special charm of this world-famous town are the buildings that have remained from the time of the old Dubrovnik Republic. Many of the monuments are Renaissance with traces of Gothic style. Before we moor at Gruž harbor, we cruise alongside the old Dubrovnik city walls while lunch is served on deck. Cameras at the ready!

After docking, transfer to the old town for the guided walking tour of this magical town. Take the cable car from the Old Town to Srđ mountain to enjoy scenic views of the Walls and Elaphiti Islands. For the energetic, we recommend a walk on top of the 1940 m long city walls – allow 75 minutes to walk it all, 90 at a stroll!  Tonight you are free to dine in the many resturants and cafes.
